Agua Bendita places 2nd in AGB, 1st in TNS

Newcomer Andi Eigenmann's fantaserye "Agua Bendita" lands no. 2 (for AGB Nielsen) and no. 1 (for TNS) in its pilot episode yesterday.

Here is the comparative ratings yesterday (AGB Nielsen):

In the TNS nationwide ratings, it debuted at no. 1 with 37.7%. It topped Urban Luzon with 43.2%, Visayas with 50.9% and Mindanao with 47.4%.

In the TNS Mega Manila ratings, Agua Bendita placed 4th overall.

Agua Bendita may consider these ratings a big achievement since their lead star is a newcomer and it's hard to top the people's expectations after it took May Bukas Pa's timeslot. Will ABS-CBN's new show maintain these high ratings in the coming weeks?

May Bukas Pa dominated the primetime in its last episode last February 5. Santino ended on a high note with 37.1%, beating long-time leader Darna, which got 26.9%,

Hot Buzz: Ejay Falcon, nakabuntis na raw?

Mukhang magkakatotoo ang istorya ng "Katorse" para sa ABS-CBN star na si Ejay Falcon. Nitong nakaraang araw ay may bali-balitang siya raw ay nakabuntis ng isang non-celebrity girl sa Mindoro.

Ayon sa isang source ay handa raw ang babae na kasuhan ang aktor dahil iniwan siya nito.

Ito ang pahayag ng aktor sa isang interview ng SNN:

“Hindi ko po talaga gagawin yon. Hindi naman ako gaya ni Gabby (Ejay's character in “Katorse”) na kung may nabuntis ay iiwan niya. Si Ejay po ako at pananagutan ko ‘yon. Pero ngayon, wala pa talaga at wala pa sa isip ko ‘yon."

Tatak Pinoy: Charice to return to "Ellen"

International sensation Charice will make another guest apprearance on "The Elle n DeGeneres Show" to promote her first international album.

"Sa paglabas ng album ko I might be there in her show to promote my album. Kasi kapag lumabas ang album ko ay dadaan ako sa kanya kasi sa kanya ako nauna," said Charice in her exclusive interview

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has been personally involved in her international career ever since, and the Pinoy singer disclosed that her appeareance in Ellen has Oprah's blessings.

"Pumayag po si Ms. Oprah na mag-guest ako sa show niya (DeGeneres) at pumayag siya (DeGeneres) na mag-guest ako sa show niya. So, wala pong problema," Charice added.

24 Oras leads January 4 to 29 in Mega Manila - AGB

24 Oras maintained its lead over TV Patrol World based on the Mega Manila TV Household Ratings data for the period of January 4 to 29 from AGB Nielsen Philippines.

GMA Network's primetime newscast led by 4.6% during the first week of January and continued to top the competition throughout the month.

GMA's Public Affairs programs also posted remarkable leads over the competition during the entire month:

1. Unang Hirit dominated Umagang Kay Ganda with a lead that grew from 0.6 percent to 1.6 percent by the last week of January
2. Reporter's Notebook posted a 2.6 lead over The Correspondents from Jan. 4 to 8
3. Born To Be Wild continued to dominate Probe Profiles/Bandila the entire month, even posting a commanding 4.2 percent lead from Jan. 11 to 15
4. Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, in turn, was also victorious as its ratings continued its climb the entire January.

In a quantitative survey conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines last September, GMA scored a credibility rating of 68.9 percent, besting its rival's 45.7 percent. In the same survey, GMA News and Public Affairs personalities topped the list based on appeal, credibility, competence, and interest to watch.

Ellen DeGeneres makes debut on American Idol this week

Emmy winner Ellen DeGeneres will be seen as the newest American Idol judge this week! She will usher in the "Hollywood Round" with resident judges Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson.

Previous in the auditions, several celebrities have guested and took place over Paula Abdul. These celebrities include: Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, and Kristin Chenoweth
